Car
If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to Oslo. The Viking Planet is located at Fridtjof Nansens plass 4, 0160 Oslo. Depending on where you are coming from in Østlandet, you can take the E6 highway towards Oslo. Once you arrive in the city, follow signs for Sentrum (City Center). You can find parking options nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply. The museum is a short walk from the nearest parking facilities.
Public Transportation - Train
To reach The Viking Planet via train, find your nearest train station that services the Oslo region. Purchase a ticket to Oslo Central Station (Oslo S). Once you arrive at Oslo Central Station, exit the station and head towards the Bus Terminal. From there, you can take bus number 30 or 31 towards 'Pilestredet' and get off at the 'Universitetet' stop. From the bus stop, it is about a 10-minute walk to The Viking Planet located at Fridtjof Nansens plass 4.
Public Transportation - Tram
If you prefer to take the tram, after arriving at Oslo Central Station, you can catch tram line 17 or 18. Get off at the 'Nationaltheatret' station. From there, it's about a 5-minute walk to The Viking Planet. Just follow the signs directing you towards Fridtjof Nansens plass.
Public Transportation - Bus
You can also take a bus to reach The Viking Planet. From the Oslo Central Station, you can take bus number 34 towards 'Majorstuen' and get off at the 'Holbergs plass' stop. The museum is a 10-minute walk from there. Be sure to check the bus schedules for any service changes or updates.
