Car

From Longyearbyen, follow the signs to the airport and then take the road leading out of the town towards the main highway. Continue on this road, and you will reach the ferry terminal where you can catch a ferry to mainland Norway. Be aware that the ferry does not operate every day, so check the schedule in advance. The fare for the ferry is approximately NOK 500 for a standard car.

To get to Svalbard Expressen via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Longyearbyen to the airport. From the airport, you will need to catch a flight to the mainland, specifically to Stavanger Airport. Once you arrive in Stavanger, take a local bus or taxi to Ålgård, which is about a 25-minute drive. The bus fare from Stavanger to Ålgård is around NOK 60. After arriving in Ålgård, you can walk to Svalbard Expressen located at Kongsgata 22.
