From the center of Tromsø, make your way to the nearest bus stop. You can catch bus number 26 towards Kvaløysletta. The bus departs frequently from the Tromsø city center. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop called 'Håkøyvegen'. Once you get off, you will see a sign pointing towards Tirpitz-platen. Walk straight along Håkøyvegen for about 5-10 minutes until you reach the memorial.

If you prefer to walk from the city center, start at the main square, Stortorget. Head northwest on Grønnegata and continue straight until you reach the bridge (Tromsøbrua). Cross the bridge and follow the road as it curves right onto Kvaløysletta. After about 2 km, you will reach Håkøyvegen. Turn left and walk for about 1 km. Tirpitz-platen will be on your right.

For those who enjoy cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Tromsø. Start at the city center and head toward the Tromsø bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the cycle path along Kvaløysletta. After about 3 km, follow the signs for Håkøyvegen. Continue on this road for about 1 km until you arrive at Tirpitz-platen.
