Getting There

  • Bus

    From the center of Tromsø, walk to the 'Tromsø Prostneset' bus terminal. Take bus number 42 (to Universitetet) from the terminal. The bus journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Universitetet' stop. From there, walk towards the university campus, following the signs to the Arctic–Alpine Botanic Garden. The garden entrance is located just a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

    If you prefer to walk, start from the city center, heading towards Storgata street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Telegrafbukta. Turn left onto Telegrafbukta and follow it until you reach the university campus. Once on campus, follow the signs to the Arctic–Alpine Botanic Garden. This route will take you about 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.
