Walking
If you are in Sentrum, find your way to the main street, Storgata. Head towards the north end of Storgata, where it intersects with the smaller street, Søndre Tollbodgate. Turn right onto Søndre Tollbodgate. Continue walking straight for about 500 meters. The Polar Museum will be on your left at Søndre Tollbodgate 11B. Look for the sign and the distinctive museum building.
Public Bus
From the center of Sentrum, locate the nearest bus stop. Take bus number 34 or 42, which connects Sentrum to the area near The Polar Museum. Get off at the 'Polarmuseet' stop, which is the closest stop to the museum. From there, it’s a short walk of about 100 meters back towards Søndre Tollbodgate. Please check the local bus schedule for the exact frequency and timings, as they can vary.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental places around Sentrum. After renting a bike, head towards Storgata and follow it north until you reach Søndre Tollbodgate. Turn right and cycle straight for about 500 meters. The Polar Museum will be on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules. Rental costs can vary, typically around 150-250 NOK per day.
