Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Mud Brook Falls, start by entering Cuyahoga Valley National Park from either the north or south entrance. Use GPS coordinates 41.1527346, -81.5094781 to guide you directly to the falls. From the nearest park entrance, follow the signs to State Route 8 South. Take exit 13 for State Route 261 towards Cuyahoga Falls. Merge onto State Road and continue for about 1.5 miles. The falls will be on your left. Be aware that parking may be limited, so arrive early in the day.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest station to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The closest major transit point is the Akron Metro RTA. From the Akron Station, board the 1A or 1B bus toward Cuyahoga Falls. Once you arrive in Cuyahoga Falls, you will need to use a rideshare service or taxi to reach Mud Brook Falls as it is approximately 2 miles from the bus stop. Best to check local transit schedules for exact timings and routes.

• Walking or Hiking

  If you are already within the park and prefer to hike, start from the nearest trailhead. The closest trail to Mud Brook Falls is the Towpath Trail. Walk along the trail and follow signs for the waterfall. It’s about a 1.5-mile hike to the falls from the Towpath, taking you through scenic park landscapes. Ensure you wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water for the trek.
