If you're starting from downtown Dayton, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the RTA Route 8 bus heading towards the University of Dayton. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest timings. Ride the bus for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the stop at Brown St. & Kauffman Ave. From there, transfer to Route 6, which will take you directly toward Woodland Cemetery. After about 10 minutes on the Route 6 bus, get off at the Woodland Ave. stop. The cemetery is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop; simply head east on Woodland Ave, and you will see the entrance on your left.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs in Dayton. Start from the downtown area and head south on Main St. After about 1 mile, turn right onto W 5th St, which will take you toward the vicinity of the cemetery. Continue straight for about another mile until you reach the intersection with Woodland Ave. Turn left onto Woodland Ave, and the cemetery entrance will be on your right in approximately 0.5 miles. Be sure to follow bike lanes and respect traffic rules for safety.

For those who enjoy walking, if you're in the vicinity of the University of Dayton, you can make your way to Woodland Cemetery on foot. Start by heading east on E. Stewart St. until you reach S. Smithville Rd. Turn left and continue walking north for about half a mile. Once you reach the intersection with Woodland Ave, turn right. The cemetery entrance will be on your left after about a 10-minute walk. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes from the university.
