Public Transit
If you're starting from downtown Dayton, head to the Dayton Metro Transit Center located at 4th and Main Streets. From there, take the Route 8 bus towards 'Oakwood'. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the stop at Oakwood Avenue and Shafor Blvd. From this stop, walk south on Shafor Blvd for about 5 minutes until you reach Smith Gardens, which will be on your right.

If you are near the University of Dayton, you can walk to Smith Gardens. Start by heading east on E Stewart St towards S Main St. Turn left onto S Main St and continue for about 1 mile until you reach Oakwood Ave. Take a right onto Oakwood Ave, and after a short walk, you will see Smith Gardens on your left.
Bicycle
If you're cycling from downtown Dayton, take the RiverScape MetroPark bike paths heading southeast. Follow the path along the river until you reach the intersection with Oakwood Ave. Turn left onto Oakwood Ave, then continue straight for about 1 mile until you arrive at Smith Gardens, which will be on your left.
