Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Downtown Dayton, head west on 3rd Street towards the intersection with Main Street. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with W. Riverview Ave. Turn left onto W. Riverview Ave and walk for about 0.3 miles. You will see the entrance of The Dayton Art Institute on your right at 456 Belmonte Park N. This is a pleasant walk taking you through the city, and will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

  • Public Bus

    You can take the RTA bus from Downtown Dayton. Board Bus Route 1 at the nearest bus stop on Main St. and take it towards the 'Dayton Mall'. Get off at the stop at Belmonte Park N/Dayton Art Institute after about 15-20 minutes. The bus fare is $1.75 for a one-way trip, and you can pay with cash or use a contactless card. After disembarking, walk a short distance to the entrance of The Dayton Art Institute, which will be directly ahead.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-share programs available in Downtown Dayton. Start from the bicycle station near the RiverScape MetroPark and head west.
