For example, if you are on Put-in-Bay, head to the Miller Ferry or the Jet Express dock to take a ferry to the mainland. The Miller Ferry will take you to Catawba Island, while the Jet Express will take you to Port Clinton. The ferry ride typically costs around $7-10 per person one way. Once you arrive on the mainland, follow signs to Route 2 East toward Toledo. Continue on Route 2 East and take the exit for Route 51 South. Follow Route 51 for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto State Park Road, and you will arrive at Maumee Bay State Park, located at 1400 State Park Rd, Oregon, OH 43616.

After arriving at Port Clinton, take the Ottawa County Public Transit (Cost: around $1.50 for a one-way trip) to reach the nearest bus stop. Then, transfer to a Greyhound or Megabus service that operates routes toward Toledo. Once in Toledo, use the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) to reach Oregon, Ohio. Look for Bus Route 2, which goes toward the area of Maumee Bay State Park. Get off at the nearest stop to State Park Road and walk to the park entrance.
