If you are driving from anywhere in the Lake Erie Islands, you will first need to take the ferry back to the mainland. The most common ferry is the Miller Ferry, which departs from Put-in-Bay and goes to Catawba Island. Once on Catawba Island, head south on Catawba Rd until you reach State Route 53. Take a left onto State Route 53 and continue north until you reach the intersection with State Route 2. Merge onto State Route 2 westbound. Follow State Route 2 until you reach I-75 South. Merge onto I-75 South and continue for about 10 miles. Take exit 6 for US-20 toward Maumee. Follow US-20 East for approximately 5 miles. Take a left onto River Rd, and the Governor's Inn will be on your right at 301 River Rd.

If you are using public transportation, first take the ferry from the Lake Erie Islands to Catawba Island. Once you arrive, you can catch a local bus service that connects to the Toledo area. Look for the TARTA (Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority) bus routes that will take you toward Maumee. Get off at the nearest stop to River Rd. From there, it is a short walk to Governor's Inn at 301 River Rd. Be sure to check the TARTA schedule in advance for bus timings.
