Getting There

  • Car

    Start from the main entrance of Maumee Bay State Park. Head south on Bay Shore Road towards the intersection with Route 2. Turn right onto Route 2 and continue for approximately 4 miles. Take the exit toward Michigan Avenue/US-23. Merge onto Michigan Avenue and continue for about 1 mile. Fort Miamis will be on your right at 600 Michigan Ave, Maumee, OH 43537. There is parking available at the site.

    From Maumee Bay State Park, you will need to reach the nearest public transportation stop. Walk to the nearest bus stop on Bay Shore Road and take a bus heading toward Toledo downtown. You may need to transfer to a bus that goes to the Maumee area. Check local bus schedules for specific routes and times. Once you arrive in Maumee, you can walk or take a short taxi ride to Fort Miamis at 600 Michigan Ave. Please note that bus fares will apply, and it's advisable to have exact change or a transit card.
