Car
If you're driving from the main tourist area of Jebel Shams, head east on the main road (Road 15) towards the village of Al Hamra. Continue on this road until you reach the junction near the Al Hamra Fort. Take a right turn onto the road leading up to Jebel Akhdar. Follow this road as it winds up the mountain, and be sure to drive carefully as it can be steep and narrow. After about 30 minutes, you will reach the entrance of Jebel Akhdar. There may be a small fee for entry, so have some cash ready. Once inside, you can park at designated areas and start exploring the beautiful landscapes of Jebel Akhdar.
Public Transportation
To reach Jebel Akhdar using public transport, first take a taxi or a bus from Jebel Shams to Al Hamra. The journey should take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Al Hamra, look for local taxis that can take you to Jebel Akhdar. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting the journey. The taxi ride from Al Hamra to Jebel Akhdar will take approximately 20-30 minutes. You can also ask the driver to wait for you while you explore, or arrange for them to return at a specific time to pick you up.
