From Wadi Shab, head back to Route 23 (Muscat - Sur Road). Take a right onto Route 23 and continue driving for approximately 70 kilometers. Watch for signs for Wadi Bani Khalid. Take the exit toward Wadi Bani Khalid and follow the road signs. Once you reach the entrance of Wadi Bani Khalid, you may need to pay a small entrance fee (around 1 OMR). There are parking facilities available near the pools and cave.

Public Transportation
From Wadi Shab, you will need to travel to Ibra first. Look for a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Ibra, which should be relatively easy to find from the main road. The fare is generally around 2 OMR. Once in Ibra, you will need to catch another taxi or arrange for a local transport service to take you to Wadi Bani Khalid. The taxi fare from Ibra to Wadi Bani Khalid is typically around 5 OMR. Confirm with the driver that they will wait for you while you explore.

If you prefer to hike, from the parking area at Wadi Bani Khalid, you can walk to the pools and cave. The walk is around 1 kilometer and is relatively easy, with a well-marked path. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as it can get hot.
