The trailhead has a parking area, but it may have a small fee, so be prepared with cash or a card.

For those using public transportation, take the MAX Light Rail Blue Line from Portland to the Gateway Transit Center. From there, catch the Columbia Gorge Express bus, which operates daily to Cascade Locks. Once you arrive at the Cascade Locks stop, you will need to walk to the Starvation Ridge Trailhead. It’s about a 1.5-mile walk, so be prepared for a short hike to reach the trailhead.
