If you are driving from the Columbia River Gorge area, take I-84 East. Exit at Cascade Locks (Exit 44). Turn left onto Cascade Locks Highway (also known as Historic Columbia River Highway) and follow the signs for Viento State Park. The park entrance will be on your right after approximately 4 miles.
Public Transportation
Take the Columbia Gorge Express bus from Portland to Cascade Locks. The bus departs from the Gateway Transit Center and offers several trips throughout the day. Once you arrive at the Cascade Locks stop, you can either walk or take a taxi or rideshare service for the remaining 4 miles to Viento State Park.
