Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from Bend, Oregon. Take Highway 97 South. After approximately 20 miles, take the exit for Cascade Lakes Highway (OR-372). Follow Cascade Lakes Highway for about 30 miles. You will pass by several lakes and scenic viewpoints. As you approach the Three Sisters area, you'll notice signs for the Three Sisters Wilderness. The last part will involve a turn onto Forest Road 16 (Sisters Mirror Lake Road). Follow this road until you reach the parking area for the Three Sisters Trailhead. Parking fees may apply, so be sure to have cash or a credit card ready.

• Public Transportation + Shuttle

  For those relying on public transportation, take a bus from Bend to Sisters, Oregon. You'll want to use the Cascades East Transit service, which operates regular routes. Once in Sisters, you'll need to arrange for a shuttle service to take you to the Three Sisters area. Look for local shuttle companies that operate in the region, as they can provide transportation directly to the trailheads. Be sure to book your shuttle in advance, as availability may vary, especially during peak tourist seasons.

• Bicycle

  For adventurous cyclists, you can bike from Bend to the Three Sisters area. Follow the same route as for driving, utilizing the Cascade Lakes Highway. This route has some steep sections and may take several hours depending on your fitness level. Ensure your bike is in good condition, and carry plenty of water and snacks. Take note that there are limited services along the highway, so plan accordingly. Bike racks are available at the parking area for the trailhead.
