If you are in Crook County and traveling by car, head southeast on US-97 S from Prineville. Continue on US-97 S for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 135 for NE Smith Rock State Park. After exiting, continue on the road until you reach a fork, then take the left fork onto NE Crooked River Dr. Follow this road for about 6 miles until you reach the junction with Old Smith Rock Rd. Turn left onto Old Smith Rock Rd, then continue for about 5 miles until you reach the entrance to the Oregon Badlands Wilderness. Please note that parking is available at the trailheads.
