Walking
From downtown Hood River, head south on Oak St towards 2nd St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Cascade Ave (Hwy 30). Turn left onto Cascade Ave and walk for about 0.6 miles. You'll pass several shops and cafes along the way. After crossing the bridge, keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Portage Rd. Turn right onto Portage Rd and walk about 0.3 miles. The Cascade Locks Historical Museum will be on your right at 417 SW Portage Rd.
Biking
Start at the Hood River Waterfront Park. Take the paved path that runs along the river south towards the Hood River Bridge. Once you reach the bridge, cross it and continue on the bike path that follows Highway 30. After crossing the bridge, take a right onto Portage Rd. The museum is located at 417 SW Portage Rd, approximately 1 mile from the bridge.
Public Transport (Bus)
From downtown Hood River, locate the nearest bus stop on Oak St. Take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus heading towards Cascade Locks. The bus will take you directly to Cascade Locks. Get off at the stop nearest to Portage Rd. From there, walk about 0.2 miles down Portage Rd, and you will find the Cascade Locks Historical Museum at 417 SW Portage Rd.
