Bus
To reach Cascade Locks Marine Park from downtown Hood River, start by walking to the local bus stop on Oak Street, which is near the Hood River Event Center. Board the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus heading towards Cascade Locks. The bus will take you directly to the Cascade Locks stop. Once you arrive, walk along Wa Na Pa Street for about 5 minutes, and you will find the park entrance on your right.
Bike
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Hood River. From downtown, head east on Oak Street until you reach the Historic Columbia River Highway. Turn left onto the highway and follow it for approximately 15 miles, enjoying the scenic views. As you approach Cascade Locks, look for signs directing you to the park entrance on Wa Na Pa Street.
Walking
For those who enjoy a long walk, start from downtown Hood River and make your way to the waterfront. Follow the Riverfront Trail eastbound along the Columbia River, enjoying views of the water and mountains. The walk is about 15 miles and will take approximately 5 hours. Once you reach Cascade Locks, head to Wa Na Pa Street, and you will see the park entrance.
