Getting There

• Public Bus

  From downtown Hood River, walk to the nearest bus stop on Oak Street. Board the Columbia Area Transit bus #10 heading towards Cascade Locks. The bus operates on a regular schedule, so check the timetable for departure times. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride along the Columbia River Gorge. Get off at the Cascade Locks stop. From there, it's a short walk to the John B. Yeon State Scenic Corridor, located on Historic Columbia River Hwy.

• Bicycle

  If you're comfortable biking, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Hood River. Head east on Oak Street towards the waterfront. Follow the Riverfront Trail, which will lead you along the river. Continue biking along the Historic Columbia River Highway. This route is approximately 15 miles and offers stunning views of the gorge. Once you reach Cascade Locks, look for signs directing you to the John B. Yeon State Scenic Corridor.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, begin your journey at the Hood River waterfront. Walk east along the Riverfront Trail towards the Historic Columbia River Highway. Once you reach the highway, continue to follow the signs towards Cascade Locks. The walk is approximately 15 miles and will take several hours, but the views along the way are worth it. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks!
