Car
From any location in Jefferson County, head to US-97 N. Depending on where you start, you may need to take local roads to reach US-97. Once on US-97 N, continue for approximately 20 miles until you reach the junction with US-26 W. Merge onto US-26 W towards Portland. Stay on US-26 for about 16 miles until you see the signs for Mount Hood. Exit onto OR-35 S towards Hood River. Continue on OR-35 S for about 10 miles until you reach the Tamanawas Falls Trailhead parking area on your left. Note: There may be a parking fee at the trailhead.
Public Transportation
If you are traveling via public transportation, start by checking for regional bus services that operate in Jefferson County. You may need to take a bus to Hood River or Mount Hood. From Hood River, you can catch a local bus service that might take you towards Mount Hood.
