Car
If you are in Eugene, Oregon, start by heading east on OR-126 E. Continue on OR-126 E for about 40 miles until you reach the town of Blue River. Once in Blue River, turn left onto Forest Road 15 (also known as the Aufderheide Drive) and follow the signs for the Three Sisters Wilderness. This road will take you closer to the wilderness area. Make sure to check the road conditions before heading out, as some areas may be closed due to weather.
Public Transportation + Car
If you are traveling by public transportation, take the Lane Transit District bus from Eugene to Blue River. The bus route may not run frequently, so check the schedule beforehand. Once you arrive in Blue River, you will need to rent a car or take a taxi to reach the Three Sisters Wilderness. This last leg of your journey will involve driving on Forest Road 15, which leads directly into the wilderness area.
Hiking
If you are already in Blue River and prefer a more adventurous route, you can hike into the Three Sisters Wilderness. There are several trailheads in the area, such as the Proxy Falls Trailhead, which is accessible from Highway 126. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear, bring plenty of water, and check trail conditions before embarking on your hike.
