    Car

    From any location in Linn County, get onto OR-22 E and follow the signs for I-5 N toward Portland. Merge onto I-5 N and continue for approximately 25 miles. Then, take exit 288 for I-205 N toward Vancouver. Continue on I-205 N for about 10 miles until you reach exit 30B to merge onto I-84 E toward The Dalles. Stay on I-84 E for approximately 40 miles. Take exit 64 for US-26 W toward Mt. Hood. Continue on US-26 W for about 24 miles, then turn right onto OR-35 N. Follow OR-35 N for about 5 miles to reach the Mt. Hood area. Look for parking signs for Tamanawas Falls along the route.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Tamanawas Falls via public transportation, first, take a bus from Albany to Portland. You can use the Albany Transit System to get to the Albany Amtrak station. From there, catch the Amtrak Cascades service to Portland. Once in Portland, transfer to the TriMet MAX Light Rail and take the Red Line towards the Portland Airport. At the airport, switch to the Columbia Gorge Express service, which will take you to the Mt. Hood area.
