Car
If you're driving from the main area of Mount Hood National Forest, head southeast on Highway 26. Continue on Highway 26 until you reach the junction with Highway 35. Take the exit onto Highway 35 and follow it south toward Hood River. Once you reach Hood River, merge onto Interstate 84 East. After about 10 miles, take exit 44 toward Cascade Locks. At the end of the exit, turn left onto Cascade Locks Highway, and then take a right onto SW Portage Rd. The Cascade Locks Historical Museum will be on your left at 417 SW Portage Rd.
