Car
From Portland, take I-84 East towards The Dalles. Merge onto US-26 East and continue for about 45 miles. As you approach the town of Rhododendron, watch for signs indicating the turn for Ramona Falls Trailhead. Turn onto E Lolo Pass Road and follow it for about 4 miles until you reach the trailhead parking area. The road may be narrow and winding, so drive carefully.
Public Transportation
Take the TriMet MAX Light Rail Blue Line from Portland to the Gresham City Hall stop. From there, transfer to the Mt. Hood Express bus, which operates seasonally. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance. The bus will take you towards Government Camp, with a stop near Rhododendron. You will need to walk approximately 1 mile from the bus stop to the Ramona Falls Trailhead along E Lolo Pass Road. Ensure to plan your return trip in advance as the bus service may be limited.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can bike from Portland via the Historic Columbia River Highway. This route is approximately 60 miles and offers scenic views. Once you reach US-26, you can continue to the Ramona Falls Trailhead. Keep in mind that the roads may have traffic, and ensure your bike is fit for long-distance travel. Be prepared for elevation changes and bring enough water and snacks.
