If you are in The Dalles, start at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center located at 5000 Discovery Dr, The Dalles, OR 97058. Head east on Discovery Dr toward US-30 E. Turn right onto US-30 E and walk along the highway for approximately 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Historic Columbia River Highway. Continue east for about 0.5 miles until you see the entrance to Starvation Creek State Park on your left. The park is located along the Historic Columbia River Highway Trail.

From The Dalles, take the Columbia Area Transit bus route heading to Hood River. Board the bus at the nearest stop to your location in The Dalles. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Cascade Locks stop. From the bus stop, head west on the Historic Columbia River Highway for about 10 minutes until you arrive at Starvation Creek State Park. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the latest times.
