If you are traveling by car from any location in Washington County, head east on Highway 26 or Highway 217 to merge onto I-84 East toward The Dalles. Continue on I-84 for approximately 70 miles. Take Exit 188 towards Echo, Oregon and turn left onto Water Street. Follow Water Street until you reach the City of Echo National Historic Site, located on the right side.

To reach the City of Echo National Historic Site using public transportation, start by taking TriMet's MAX Light Rail to the Gateway Transit Center. From there, transfer to a Greyhound bus heading towards Pendleton. Get off at the Echo stop. From the bus stop, walk along Water Street heading south for about 0.2 miles to reach the historic site.
