Car
If you are driving from Eugene, head east on OR-126 E for approximately 45 miles. You will pass through the towns of Springfield and then Vida. Continue on OR-126 E until you reach McKenzie Bridge. Once you arrive in McKenzie Bridge, look for the McKenzie River Trail located at 56621 McKenzie Hwy, McKenzie Bridge, OR 97413. There is parking available at the trailhead.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Lane Transit District bus (Route 91) from Eugene towards the McKenzie River area. Ensure you check the bus schedule ahead of time, as service may be limited. The closest stop to the McKenzie River Trail is the McKenzie Bridge stop. From there, it is about a 1.5-mile walk along McKenzie Highway to reach the trailhead at 56621 McKenzie Hwy. Be prepared for some walking on the shoulder of the highway.

Cyclists can travel to the McKenzie River Trail from Eugene by following the bike-friendly paths along OR-126 E. The ride is approximately 45 miles and can take around 4-5 hours depending on your speed. There are designated bike lanes along parts of the route, but be cautious of traffic. Once you reach McKenzie Bridge, you can park your bike at the trailhead located at 56621 McKenzie Hwy.
