Car
If you are driving, start from Mingora, the largest city in the Swat Valley. Head south on the Saidu Sharif Road (N-95) for about 10 kilometers until you reach Barikot. Once in Barikot, follow the signs towards the Amluk-dara Stupa, which is located approximately 5 kilometers from the town center. The stupa is situated at the foot of Elum Mountain, so you will see it as you get closer. There is a small parking area available near the site.
Public Transportation
From Mingora, you can take a local bus or a shared taxi to Barikot. The fare should be around 50-100 PKR (approximately $0.30-$0.60). Once you arrive in Barikot, you can hire a rickshaw or walk to the Amluk-dara Stupa, which is about 5 kilometers from the bus station. Rickshaw fares typically range from 200-300 PKR (around $1.20-$1.80) depending on negotiation.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Barikot to Amluk-dara Stupa, it is a scenic route of about 5 kilometers. Take the main road leading out of Barikot towards the stupa, and enjoy the views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and carry water, as the route can be steep in certain areas.
