Getting There

    Start from the center of Gilgit city, near the Ghizer River. Head west towards the Karakoram Highway. Continue along the main road, following the signs toward Nagar. This will take you past local shops and eateries. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection with the Karakoram Highway. Cross the road carefully and continue straight in the direction of Nagar. The Old Silk Route Park is located approximately 4 kilometers along the highway on your right. Look for signs indicating the park entrance.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Gilgit. Begin your journey heading west towards the Karakoram Highway. Cycle along the highway, keeping to the right side of the road for safety. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your speed. You will pass by scenic views, and as you approach Nagar, keep an eye out for the Old Silk Route Park, which is on the right side of the highway. There are usually signs that will help you identify the entrance.
