Getting There

• Bus

  From Gilgit city, head to the central bus station located near the main market. Look for buses or vans heading towards Hunza or Passu. The journey will take approximately 3-4 hours, passing through scenic landscapes. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at Passu.

• Shared Taxi

  At the Gilgit bus station, you can also find shared taxis that travel to Passu. These taxis are faster than buses and can take you directly to your destination. Ensure you share the taxi with other passengers to keep costs low, and the fare will be slightly higher than a bus.

• Local Minivan

  You can also opt for local minivans that frequently travel between Gilgit and Passu. These are often parked near the main market. The minivan ride is a bit bumpy but offers a more local experience. Be sure to check the schedule, as they leave once they are full.

• Trekking

  For the adventurous, consider trekking from Gilgit to Passu. This is a longer journey that can take a couple of days, but offers stunning views along the way. Make sure to plan your route and carry necessary supplies, as the paths can be challenging.
