From K2 Base Camp, you will need to return to Skardu first. Hire a 4x4 vehicle from Skardu to Astor Valley. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours and covers a distance of around 150 kilometers. Be prepared for rough terrain; a 4x4 vehicle is necessary due to the condition of the roads.
