Car
If you are driving along the Karakoram Highway, continue heading north towards Gilgit. After passing through the town of Raikot, keep an eye for the sign towards Chilas. You will take a right turn onto Bazar Road. Continue on this road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach Bab-e-Chilas, which will be on your left. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as the roads can be challenging in certain areas.
Public Transportation
From major cities like Islamabad or Gilgit, you can take a bus or van heading to Chilas. Buses frequently depart from the main bus stations. Once you arrive in Chilas, you can either take a local taxi or a rickshaw to reach Bab-e-Chilas. The fare for a taxi from the Chilas bus station to Bab-e-Chilas is usually around 200-300 PKR. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
Walking
If you find yourself in the center of Chilas, Bab-e-Chilas is accessible on foot. From the main market area, head towards Bazar Road and follow the road signs. It should take you about 20-30 minutes to walk there. Be cautious of the traffic and ensure you are walking on the side of the road.
