If you're traveling by car along the Karakoram Highway, head towards the town of Gilgit. From Gilgit, continue on the highway for approximately 2 hours until you reach the turn-off for the Skardu Road. Take this left turn and continue for about 2 hours until you reach the town of Skardu. Once in Skardu, you will need to hire a local jeep or taxi to take you to the Thalpan petroglyphs, which are located approximately 30 minutes from Skardu. The jeep ride may cost around 2000-3000 PKR.

For those using public transportation, take a bus or van from Islamabad to Gilgit. The journey takes about 24 hours and costs around 2000-3000 PKR. Once in Gilgit, catch a bus to Skardu, which takes about 2 hours and costs around 500 PKR. From Skardu, you will need to hire a local jeep or taxi for about 2000-3000 PKR to reach the Thalpan petroglyphs, located approximately 30 minutes away.
