Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Gilgit on the Karakoram Highway. Drive towards the north for about 30 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Khaltaro. Follow the signs to Khaltaro Haramosh. The road is relatively well-maintained but may be winding. Once you reach Khaltaro, you will need to navigate through the local roads to reach Dorchan Gah where Daigodam is located. Make sure to have a GPS or a reliable map handy, as signage may be limited. The final stretch will require driving through some rural areas and may take about 15-20 minutes from Khaltaro.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus or a shared van from Gilgit to Khaltaro. Buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal in Gilgit. The fare is usually around 200-300 PKR per person and the journey takes about 1 hour. After arriving at Khaltaro, you will need to hire a local taxi or a rickshaw to take you to Dorchan Gah. The taxi fare for this short trip may range from 500 to 1000 PKR, depending on your negotiation skills and the exact distance. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
