From Leh, you can take a shared taxi or a local bus towards Stok or Hemis, which will drop you off at Thiksey. The journey takes about 30 minutes, and you should inform the driver that you want to stop at Thiksey Monastery. The fare for a shared taxi is around INR 50-100 per person, while the bus fare is typically around INR 30. Once you are dropped off, it’s a short walk uphill to reach the monastery.
