If you are driving, start your journey from Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Head southwest on the Neelum Valley Road (N-75) towards the town of Trar Khel. The distance is about 80 kilometers and should take approximately 2 hours. Once you reach Trar Khel, look for local signs directing you towards Garatapar Waterfall. You may need to park your car at a designated spot and walk the remaining distance to the waterfall.

For those relying on public transport, take a bus or a van from Muzaffarabad to Trar Khel. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station and the fare typically ranges from PKR 200 to PKR 300. Upon arrival at Trar Khel, you can either hire a local taxi or ask locals for directions to Garatapar Waterfall, which is roughly 5 kilometers away from the bus stop. Taxi fares to the waterfall can be around PKR 300 to PKR 500.

If you prefer a more adventurous route after reaching Trar Khel, walking to Garatapar Waterfall is an option. From the town center, head west and follow the dirt path leading to the waterfall.
