Car
If you're driving from Darien, head northwest towards the Pan-American Highway (Ruta 1). Continue on Ruta 1 for approximately 1.5 hours until you reach the town of Sabanitas. From Sabanitas, follow the signs to Portobelo, taking Route 32. The drive should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Portobelo, follow the signs for Parque Nacional Portobelo, which is located at H83W+7FQ. There is a parking area available near the park entrance.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Darien, locate the nearest bus terminal that offers services to Colón. Purchase a ticket to Colón, which typically costs around $5. The bus ride will take approximately 2 hours. Once in Colón, transfer to a bus heading to Portobelo, which can be found at the Colón bus terminal. The fare for this second leg is usually about $1.50, and the journey will take around 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Portobelo, you can walk or take a taxi to Parque Nacional Portobelo, located at H83W+7FQ.
