Getting There

  If you are driving from Panama City, take the Corredor Norte (North Corridor) highway. Follow the signs for 'Las Cumbres' and take exit 2 towards Las Cumbres. Continue on the main road, Avenida Ricardo J. Alfaro, for approximately 12 km until you reach the intersection with Calle Las Cumbres. Turn right on Calle Las Cumbres and follow the road until you see signs for Parque Nacional Soberanía. The entrance is located at coordinates 9.0743, -79.6598. Ensure you have a GPS or map app for accurate navigation.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Parque Nacional Soberanía using public transportation, start by taking a bus from the Albrook Bus Terminal in Panama City. Look for buses heading towards 'Las Cumbres.' The fare is approximately $0.50. Once you arrive in Las Cumbres, you may need to take a taxi or a local bus to reach the park entrance. Make sure to communicate with the driver your destination, as not all local buses have English signage. The total cost for the taxi from the bus stop to the park entrance should be around $2-$5.

• Taxi

  You can also hire a taxi directly from Panama City to Parque Nacional Soberanía. It is advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand; expect to pay around $30-$40 for a round trip. The taxi will take you directly to the park entrance. Ensure the driver is familiar with the area, as the park entrance is located at 38FR+P38, Las Cumbres.
