Walking
From the center of Portobelo, head south on Calle 1 until you reach the intersection with Calle 2. Turn left onto Calle 2 and continue walking until you reach the main road leading out of Portobelo. Follow this road for about 3 km until you see signs for Gamboa. At the fork, keep right towards Gamboa and continue walking for another 2 km until you arrive at the Gamboa Rainforest Reserve entrance on Goethals Blvd.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Portobelo and start from the main square. Ride south on Calle 1, then turn left onto Calle 2. After about 1 km, you will reach the main road. Take a right and follow the road for approximately 5 km until you see signs for Gamboa. Stay on the main road until you reach Goethals Blvd where you will find the Gamboa Rainforest Reserve entrance.

Public Transport (Bus)
To reach Gamboa Rainforest Reserve via public transport, walk to the bus stop located at the main square of Portobelo. Take a bus heading to Colón, which regularly stops in Gamboa. Once you arrive in Gamboa, ask the driver to let you off at the Goethals Blvd stop. The reserve is a short walk from the bus stop; just follow the signs to the entrance.
