Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Alotau, head towards the waterfront. Walk along the main road that runs parallel to the sea, enjoying the local scenery. Continue walking until you reach the junction where you can see the Milne Bay Arts and Cultural Centre on your left. Keep walking straight along this road; you will pass by local shops and cafes. Continue for about 15 minutes, keeping the ocean on your right side. You will eventually see signs directing you towards Alice Wedega Park. The park entrance will be on your left. It is easily recognizable by its green spaces and local flora.

• Bicycle

  If you're renting a bicycle in Alotau, start from the town center and ride towards the waterfront road. Pedal along the coast, enjoying the fresh sea breeze. After about 15-20 minutes of cycling, you will pass by the Milne Bay Arts and Cultural Centre. Keep going straight and look for signage indicating Alice Wedega Park. The park will be on your left side. Make sure to ride safely and be mindful of pedestrians.

• Public Transport (Bus or Minivan)

  While in Alotau, inquire at your current location about the nearest bus or minivan stop. Board a minivan or a local bus heading towards the outskirts of Alotau. Inform the driver that you want to go to Alice Wedega Park; they are usually familiar with local landmarks. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you reach the park vicinity, disembark at the nearest stop. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to the park entrance, which will be on your left. Follow any signs leading to the park.
