Car
If you're starting from the city of Rabaul, take the Kokopo-Rabaul Road heading towards Kokopo. After about 10 km, turn right onto the Matupit Road, which leads directly to Matupit Island. Continue driving until you reach the end of the road, where you'll need to park your car. From there, you can walk to the Dawapia (Bee Hives Rock Formations) which is located a short distance from the parking area.
Public Transportation
To reach Dawapia using public transportation, head to the main bus terminal in Rabaul. Look for a bus heading towards Kokopo. After approximately 15-20 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at Matupit Road. From there, you can either walk down Matupit Road or catch a local taxi to take you closer to the rock formations.
