From Port Moresby, take the Highlands Highway towards Goroka. After about 2 hours, take the turnoff at Koinambe towards the Kokoda Track. Continue driving for approximately 3 hours until you reach the village of Kokoda. From Kokoda, take the local road towards Hoi, which is about a 1-hour drive. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrains, and be prepared for potential road conditions.

Public Transportation
From Port Moresby, take a public bus or minibus to Goroka. This journey may take around 4-5 hours. Once in Goroka, find a bus heading to Kokoda. These buses may not run frequently, so check the local schedule. Upon reaching Kokoda, you can hire a local vehicle to take you to Hoi, which is approximately a 1-hour drive from Kokoda. Expect to pay around 100-150 PGK for the local transport to Hoi.
