Bus
From Hernandarias, head to the main bus terminal located in the city center. Look for buses heading to Ciudad del Este and ask the driver if they stop at Iguazu Falls. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Ciudad del Este, you can take a local bus (Bus number 120) directly to the Iguazu Falls entrance. The total journey may take around 1 hour.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Hernandarias. Start by heading towards the Avenida Mariscal López and continue until you reach the border area of Ciudad del Este. Follow the signs to Iguazu Falls. The ride is approximately 15 km and can take about 1 hour depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
Walking
Walking to Iguazu Falls is quite a long trek and not recommended due to the distance (over 15 km). However, if you are adventurous, begin by walking towards Avenida Mariscal López, then head in the direction of Ciudad del Este. Follow the road signs to Iguazu Falls. Be prepared for a long walk, which could take 3-4 hours, and ensure to carry water and snacks.
Taxi
You can easily find a taxi in Hernandarias. Make sure to negotiate the fare or ask the driver to use the meter. The ride to Iguazu Falls will take about 30 minutes, and you can directly tell the driver to drop you at the entrance of the falls.
