Depending on your starting point in Central Pennsylvania, you may take I-81 if coming from the north or south. Once you reach Carlisle, follow the signs to the downtown area. Pitt Street runs through the center of Carlisle, and the Historical Society is located on the north side of the street. Parking is available on-site as well as nearby street parking.

For those using public transportation, check for bus services that operate in the region, such as the Capital Area Transit (CAT). You can take a bus that heads towards Carlisle. Once you arrive at the Carlisle Transit Center, it is a short walk to the Historical Society. Head northwest on W High St towards N Pitt St and then turn right on N Pitt St. The Historical Society will be on your left at 21 N Pitt St. Be sure to check the CAT website for the latest schedule and fare information, as costs may vary based on your starting location.
