Getting There

  • Car

    From the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, head north on Route 209. Continue driving for approximately 10 miles. Merge onto I-84 West via the ramp to Scranton. After about 8 miles, take exit 30 for PA-191 toward Newfoundland. Turn left onto PA-191 South and follow it for about 5 miles. Then turn right onto Lower Lake Road. Promised Land State Park will be on your left at 100 Lower Lake Rd, Greentown, PA 18426.

    Begin your journey at the nearest bus stop within Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Take the Martz Trailways bus to Scranton. From the Scranton bus station, transfer to the Lackawanna Transit bus service that heads towards Greentown. Inform the driver that you need to get off at Lower Lake Road. Walk approximately 0.5 miles from the bus stop to reach Promised Land State Park, located at 100 Lower Lake Rd, Greentown, PA 18426.
