Getting There

  • Walking

    From downtown Erie, start at the intersection of State Street and 8th Street. Head west on 8th Street until you reach the intersection with Buffalo Road (Route 20). Turn left onto Buffalo Road and continue walking south. After approximately 0.5 miles, turn right onto West 38th Street. The Erie Zoo will be on your left at 423 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16508.

    From downtown Erie, walk to the nearest bus stop at 8th Street & State Street. You can catch the EMTA bus route number 6 (West 38th) towards the west. The bus will take you directly to a stop near the zoo. The fare for a one-way trip is $1.50. Once you get off at the stop closest to the zoo, walk a short distance east along West 38th Street to reach the entrance at 423 W 38th St.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing program. Start at the bike station in downtown Erie, and head west on 8th Street.
