If you are traveling by car, start from the Gettysburg Visitor Center located at 1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Drive north on Baltimore Pike for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Steinwehr Ave. Turn left onto Steinwehr Ave and continue for about 0.5 miles. You will then turn right onto Hancock Ave. The Monument to Major General George Gordon Meade will be on your left side after approximately 0.2 miles. There is no parking fee at this monument area, but please be mindful of parking regulations.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Gettysburg Trolley, which runs tours around the battlefield. Board the trolley at the Gettysburg Visitor Center. The trolley will take you around the battlefield, and you can request to be dropped off at the Monument to Major General George Gordon Meade. Note that the trolley service does have a fee, typically around $20 for adults and $10 for children, so be prepared to pay for your ride.
