Getting There

Public Bus
From Hagerstown, head to the Hagerstown Transit bus terminal located at 100 E Franklin St. Take the Route 1 bus heading towards the Hagerstown Outlets. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the last stop - Hagerstown Outlets. From there, transfer to the Greyhound bus service towards Gettysburg. The journey to Gettysburg will take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Gettysburg bus station, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center. Head south on Baltimore St toward E High St, then turn left onto Baltimore Pike. The museum will be on your left.

Walking and Train
Start at the Hagerstown City Park. Walk north to the Hagerstown train station, which is about a 15-minute walk. Take an Amtrak train from Hagerstown to Harrisburg. Once in Harrisburg, switch to a regional train heading towards Gettysburg. After approximately an hour, get off at the Gettysburg station. The museum is about a 15-minute walk from the station. Head southeast on Carlisle St, continue onto Baltimore St, and turn right onto Baltimore Pike. The museum will be on your left.

Bicycle
If you're up for a biking adventure, rent a bike in Hagerstown. Start at the Hagerstown City Park and head south on South Potomac St. Follow the bike path towards the C&O Canal Towpath. Continue along the towpath until you reach the intersection with Baltimore Pike. From there, follow Baltimore Pike directly into Gettysburg. The ride will take approximately 1.5 hours, depending on your speed. Once you reach Gettysburg, the museum will be on your right at 1195 Baltimore Pike.
